Adopt Me Pet Values Explained

Updated 2026-10-26 · 4 min read

In Adopt Me!, a pet's value is simply what other players are willing to trade for it. The game doesn't publish an official price list. Values come from huge numbers of trades between players, and community value lists try to keep up with them. That means values move over time, and two lists won't always agree.

Still, the same handful of things decide almost every pet's worth. Once you understand them, it gets much easier to tell whether a trade is fair.

Rarity

Every pet belongs to one of five rarity tiers:

  • Common
  • Uncommon
  • Rare
  • Ultra-Rare
  • Legendary

Rarer pets are harder to hatch, so they usually trade for more, with Legendary pets at the top. Rarity is only a starting point, though. Two Legendary pets can be worth very different amounts because of the other factors below.

One practical note: you need a Trade License to trade Ultra-Rare and Legendary items. You can get one for free at the Safety Hub.

Availability: can you still get it?

This is one of the biggest factors of all. Many eggs in Adopt Me are only around for a limited time. Themed eggs from the Gumball Machine in the Nursery stay for a few months and are then replaced by a new one. Once an egg leaves, trading is the only way to get its pets.

When no new copies can enter the game, the supply stops growing. On top of that, players keep using pets up when they fuse them into Neons, so the number of regular pets slowly shrinks. That's why older pets often become more valuable over time.

Event pets and pets that used to be sold for Robux work the same way. It can also go the other direction. If an old pet comes back to the game, more copies become available and its value can drop.

Demand: how many people want it

Rarity and availability tell you how many of a pet exist. Demand tells you how many players want one. A pet with a great design, a cool Neon glow or a popular theme can be wanted by lots of players, which pushes its value up. A pet that's rare but not very popular can be surprisingly hard to trade.

Demand changes, too. New updates, trends and pets that show up in popular videos can make a pet more or less wanted. High demand also means a pet is easier to trade away later, which is something many traders care about.

Neon and Mega Neon

A Neon pet is made by fusing four Full Grown pets of the same kind in the Neon Cave. A Mega Neon takes four fully aged Neon pets, so it really starts out as 16 regular pets. Because of all that time and all those pets, a Neon version is generally worth more than the regular pet, and a Mega Neon is worth more again.

In your inventory, Neon pets show a green N and Mega Neon pets show a purple M. Always look for these icons in a trade.

Fly and Ride potions

The Fly-A-Pet Potion and Ride-A-Pet Potion are bought with Robux or traded for. Feeding one to a pet gives it that ability for good. Since potions cost Robux, a pet with them is usually worth more than the same pet without them.

You'll see these short forms all the time in trade talk and on value lists:

  • F - can fly
  • R - can be ridden
  • N - Neon
  • M - Mega Neon

So an NFR is a Neon pet that can fly and be ridden, and an MFR is the Mega Neon version. Here's a handy fact: when you fuse pets into a Neon or Mega Neon, the new pet keeps the Fly or Ride ability if any of the pets you used had it.

Age

Pets grow from Newborn up to Full Grown, and Neon pets have their own stages that end at Luminous. For value, age usually matters less than rarity, demand, potions or Neon status. A Full Grown pet is ready to be fused into a Neon right away, which can make it a little more appealing to traders who are working on one. Preferences differ, so ask what the other player is looking for.

How to use values in a real trade

  • Check more than one value list. They're estimates, and they don't always match.
  • See what players actually offer. The Trading Hub lets you browse listings and offers from other servers, which shows what people are really trading right now.
  • Read the game's warning. If the game thinks a trade is very lopsided, it warns you and gives you extra time to think. Take that seriously.
  • Check every detail before you accept. Make sure the pet has the Neon or Mega Neon icon and the potions you expect.
  • Don't let anyone rush you. "It's worth way more than it looks" is a classic line from scammers.

Building up a valuable collection takes time. If you'd rather skip the grind, you can buy Neon, Mega Neon and Fly Ride pets on GetPets and have them delivered through an in-game trade.
