Adopt Me Shop FAQ: Buying, Delivery, Values and Trading

How do I buy a pet on AdoptMePets?

Open the pet, pick the version you want (for example Neon Fly Ride) and add it to your cart. Press checkout and you continue on GetPets, our sister shop, with the same cart. Sign in or create a free account, pay, then open your order and follow the steps to get your pet delivered in Adopt Me.

Why does checkout happen on GetPets?

AdoptMePets and GetPets are run by the same team. Checking out on GetPets gives you one account for all your orders, one page to follow your delivery and chat with the team, and the same secure payment page. Your cart moves over by itself, so there's nothing to add again.

How fast will my pet arrive?

Items marked Instant are in stock. Most of those orders are delivered within minutes of payment while the delivery team is online; at busy times it can take an hour or two. Items marked 24h are sourced after you order and delivered within a day. Sold-out items can't be ordered until they're back.

How can I pay?

On the GetPets checkout you can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe, or with PayPal. Prices on AdoptMePets are shown in US dollars.

How does delivery work in Adopt Me?

After checkout, you give GetPets your Roblox username and follow the steps on your order page to meet a delivery agent in Adopt Me. The agent then sends your item through the normal in-game trade window. Before you accept, check that the pet, its Neon or Mega Neon status and any potions match your order. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before buying anything.

Will GetPets ever ask for my password?

Never. GetPets only needs your Roblox username to deliver your item through a trade. Don't share your password, login codes or browser cookies with anyone, including people who say they work for GetPets, Roblox or Uplift Games. Anyone who asks for them is trying to take over your account. Turning on 2-Step Verification in your Roblox settings adds an extra layer of protection.

What if my order hasn't arrived or something looks wrong?

First, check your Roblox friend requests, since the delivery agent may be waiting to connect with you. If the item still hasn't arrived, or you received something different from what you ordered, contact GetPets support with your order number and a screenshot if you have one. Don't accept help from random players who message you saying they can fix your order. That's a common trick. If we can't deliver your order, you get your money back.

What do FR, NFR and MFR mean?

These are short forms traders use. F means the pet has been fed a Fly-A-Pet Potion, and R means it has been fed a Ride-A-Pet Potion, so an FR pet can both fly and be ridden. Add N for Neon or M for Mega Neon and you get NFR or MFR. Potions are permanent, which is why FR pets usually trade for more than the same pet without them.

How do I make a Neon or Mega Neon pet?

Raise four pets of the same kind to Full Grown, then take them to the Neon Cave under the bridge between Adoption Island and the Neighborhood. Place them on the glowing circles and they fuse into one Neon pet. For a Mega Neon, age four Neons of the same kind to Luminous and fuse them the same way. That adds up to 16 regular pets. Our Neon guide walks through every step.

Who decides how much a pet is worth?

There's no official value list. Values come from what players are actually willing to trade, and community value lists try to keep track of that. Those lists are estimates, so they don't always agree. Rarity, demand, whether a pet can still be hatched, Neon or Mega Neon status and Fly or Ride potions all play a part. Check more than one source before a big trade.

Why do some pets become more valuable over time?

Many pets come from limited-time eggs or events. Once that egg or event leaves the game, no new copies can be hatched, and trading becomes the only way to get one. Meanwhile, players keep using pets up when they fuse them into Neons. Fewer pets plus steady demand often pushes values up. It isn't guaranteed, though, and a pet that comes back to the game can lose value.

Do I need a Trade License?

You need one to trade Ultra-Rare and Legendary items. It's free: pass a short quiz at the Safety Hub on Adoption Island, where you decide whether three trades are safe or scams. If you get one wrong, you can try again. The license also lets you check your recent trade history and report a bad trade. If you're expecting a high-rarity pet, get your license first.

Is a trust trade ever safe?

No. In a trust trade, someone asks you to hand over your pet first and promises to give something back later. Once they have it, nothing stops them from leaving the server. Always use the in-game trade window, where both players' items swap at the same moment. The same goes for so-called middlemen who offer to hold items. Adopt Me has no official middleman, and the trade window already does that job.

Is AdoptMePets part of Roblox or Uplift Games?

No. AdoptMePets is an independent site. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Roblox Corporation or Uplift Games, the studio that makes Adopt Me!. Game names and images belong to their owners. To be upfront: AdoptMePets and the GetPets shop are run by the same team, so we benefit when you buy there. Our guides are written to help you play, whether you buy anything or not.
